CRAZY FOR WHO?

Girl meets boy, girl & boy get together, boy leaves girl, girl alone needing a new partner….. Is this the plot for ESNA’s next show, “Crazy for you”? No, this was the real life drama facing the Society over it’s summer rehearsal period.

With casting complete in June it has been full steam ahead for the ESNA Players putting together the all singing all dancing all Gershwin classic that includes so many well known songs including “Someone to watch over we”, Biding my time” and the unforgettable “I’ve got rhythm”.

Then, in July, disaster struck! ESNA’s Bobby was forced to resign. “One moment we were flying along – the next we were in a state of total chaos. To lose any member of the cast is a dreadful blow to any show, but, to be without Bobby Childs in Crazy ForYou is about as bad as it can get” said a spokesman for the Society

Luckily, a week of frantic phone calls found a wonderful replacement in the form of ESNA Players newcomer Grant Walker. Grant has recently played the role for Long Eaton Amateur Operatic Society so he sees the shortened rehearsal schedule as a challenge he is ready for.

“Crazy For You is a wonderful show and Bobby Childs is a fabulous part. To get the chance to play him again is a great opportunity. ESNA is a great group of people who have made me feel really welcome”.

At last a happy ending.

ESNA are presenting Crazy For You at Loughborough Town Hall from Tuesday 20^th to Saturday 24^th November inclusive. Evening performances commence at 7.30 and the Saturday matinee starts at 2.30.
